License

The app is proprietary — downloading and using it doesn’t grant rights to copy, modify, or redistribute it. The agreement that covers your use of it is the Terms of Service, which you agree to on the welcome screen the first time you open the app. Pricing will be announced; questions are welcome any time at hello@wavekat.com.

Built on open libraries

WaveKat Voice is built on WaveKat’s open-source audio and telephony libraries — including wavekat-core, wavekat-sip, wavekat-asr, wavekat-vad, wavekat-turn, and wavekat-tts. Those are freely available at github.com/wavekat and on crates.io, each under its own license. The app itself — the product you install — is the commercial layer on top.

The app also includes open-source components from the wider ecosystem, used under their respective licenses.

Your data

Live transcription, when you turn it on, runs entirely on your machine — the speech-to-text happens on your computer, not on a server. Crash reporting is optional and anonymous: no phone numbers, contacts, or account details are ever included, and you control it in Settings → About.
